FREEZE64 & FREEZE-ZX ‘zine are the brainchild of Vincenzo (Vinny) Mainolfi, who hails from Bletchley (home of The Codebreakers) in the UK.

Vinny’s love affair with the Commodore 64 began in 1983—though he kept a ZX Spectrum close at hand—and ever since, he’s poured his passion into countless C64 projects, from game testing and design to crafting fanzines, publishing magazines, and building websites that champion the vibrant C64 and ZX Spectrum community.

He dedicates most of his working day to writing, editing, and producing FREEZE64 & FREEZE-ZX ‘zines on a full-time basis. The ‘zines have grown significantly since the early days and now reaches over 500 readers worldwide.

When he’s not working in FREEZE Towers, Vinny enjoys hacking C64 & ZX Spectrum games and creating his Crazy Hacks, with some PS4 gaming, TV & Movie viewing with his wife and daughter, and guitar playing mixed in for good measure.
